My heart's desire is that each piece of art created and sold is an opportunity to help someone in need. A portion of each piece sold will go towards addiction/mental health/homeless organizations.
I had the privilege to work as an OT Assistant for over 25 years with pediatrics. This was my creative outlet. When I retired from that career I began to paint; I found it to be therapeutic. I then felt led to paint with a purpose which was to donate a portion of the proceeds of sold artwork to my community. Helping those in need of help with addiction/mental health/homelessness.
I use many different mediums, such as watercolor, acrylics, and alcohol inks. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. I have an amazingly talented husband who builds my frames from up-cycled wood.
My faith inspires me to paint with a purpose. Each piece is thoughtfully prepared and prayed over. I believe that little things can make a big impact thus my "littles" are my speciality. I hope you'll join me in helping to make an impact here in Wilmington to help those that struggle with addiction/mental health/homelessness.
